How to Sew With a Serger  at South

A serger is a machine that is used in addition to a traditional sewing machine. In the first class the basics of the serger, threading, tensions, and the operation of the machine will be discussed. In the final 2 classes each student will make a simple t-shirt. Students must bring their own serger in good working order to each class (don't forget the power cord). Bring the manual and all accessories that came with the serger. Also bring 4 different colours of cone thread (for sergers) to the first class. This class is open to all makes and models of sergers.
