This course will focus on landscape plants and practical concepts related to landscape design and installation. You will leave this course with an understanding of plant selection, form, and growth habit for site-specific, long-term garden health and aesthetics. Learn how the 'right plant for right place' can greatly reduce future problems and maintenance in the landscape. Topics include site assessment, spacing, placement, layout of plant material and the overall concept of how plants work together. Learn how colour, texture, form and scale can be used in the garden to create flow, direct views, drama or contemplative areas. Classes runs 2 Thursday evenings, 6:30 - 9:00pm (Mar. 21 & Apr. 4) in-class or on-line via Zoom and 6 Saturday afternoons, 1:00 – 4pm (Mar. 23, Apr. 6, 20, May 4, 25 & Jun. 8).
